He earned a Bachelor of Education from Mount Royal University and completed the Alberta Teacher Leadership Certification (LQS) through the University of Calgary.Alongside his school leadership and education work, David has contributed to several nonprofit boards and previously served as an Alberta NDP candidate in the 2023 Alberta provincial election.
